Hello, All! 

As you can tell from the title of this column, my weight loss continues since my unfortunate episode of laminitis on November 4, 2009.  I really do love my new figure. Going from 1240 to 1067 really shows off my narrow waist but still displays my womanly hips!  Of course, this weight loss has helped my front hooves too.  I haven’t had any problems with them since the December abcess!

Dr. Nathaniel (Wright) instructed Marla not to ride me for two months after my episode plus riding has been limited since Tennessee has had such a bad winter.  Marla doesn’t like to ride when it is really cold and it really has been very cold this winter.  This forced layoff and reduction in my ride time has meant that my muscles have gotten a little flabby.  But don’t worry; they’ll come back in no time when Marla puts me back in a regular riding routine!
